One room. One teacher. No front desk.

Booking, payments and paperwork for the studio you run from home.

A week in the MyHomeStudio schedule: classes across seven days, each showing how many seats are taken and who is booked.

The problem

You are the instructor, the front desk and the bookkeeper.

Between classes you are answering messages, checking who has sessions left, and remembering who still owes for last month. None of it is teaching, and all of it is on you.

The spreadsheet

One tab per member, a column per month, and a running total you recalculate by hand every time somebody buys a pack or misses a class.

The WhatsApp thread

Bookings, cancellations and questions arrive in the same place as everything else, and a message that scrolls past is a booking that never happened.

The payment you forgot to chase

Somebody's plan ran out three weeks ago. They are still coming. Nobody enjoys that conversation, so it keeps not happening.

The product

What it does

Everything on this page is built and running. There is no waiting list and no beta.

A schedule that fills itself

Set the weekly timetable once — which days, which times, which class types — and generate a month of sessions from it in one go.

Regulars keep their slot

A member who always comes Tuesday at nine is booked into Tuesday at nine. If you change the timetable and their slot no longer exists, you are told, and they are notified from a message you can edit.

Waitlists that actually move

When a class is full, members join the waitlist. When somebody cancels, the next person is offered the seat with a countdown to claim it, and it passes on if they do not.

Plans, packs and family balances

Session packs, monthly plans and unlimited memberships, with a family able to share one pool of sessions between them.

Card and cash, one ledger

Members pay by card through Stripe and the money goes to your account, not ours. Cash and bank transfers are recorded the same way, so the totals are the real totals.

The waiver, signed and filed

New members complete your intake form and sign it before their first class. The signed copy is stored as a PDF you can produce years later.

Reminders that arrive

Booking confirmations, class reminders and renewal notices by email and text, with unsubscribe handled properly so your mail keeps reaching inboxes.

Why this one

Built for a studio in someone's house

Every other app in this category assumes a storefront and staff. Some of what follows is built. Some of it is why we are building. Each card says which.

Working today

Your own calendar blocks studio time

Subscribe your personal calendar and the school run, the dentist and the day you are away stop being times somebody can book.

Cash is a first-class payment

Half the money in a home studio arrives as cash or a bank transfer. Recording it is one click, not a workaround.

Capacity per class type

A mat class and an equipment class do not hold the same number of people in the same room. Each class type carries its own limit.

Strangers do not see how full you are

You decide whether the number of free spots is visible. Members can see it; the internet does not have to.

Coming next

Your address is a home, not a shop

Not built yet

The public pages will show a neighbourhood and give the exact address to a member once they have booked — never to a stranger, and never to a search engine.

The household is a real constraint

Not built yet

A room that is a studio at ten and a living room at four. The timetable should understand hours the house is not available, not just hours you are not.

Equipment decides the capacity

Not built yet

Two reformers means two people, in every class that needs a reformer — set the equipment once instead of typing the same number into twelve class types.

Absence mode

Not built yet

You are ill, or away for a week. One switch that cancels the right classes, tells the right people and does not lose anybody's sessions.

How it is used

Three ways in

Your admin

The schedule, members, plans, payments, messaging and reports. This is where you spend the ten minutes a day the whole thing should cost you.

The member portal

Your members book, cancel, see what is left on their plan and pay, from a page that installs onto a phone home screen like an app. No app store, nothing to download.

Support that can see the problem

When something is wrong, it can be looked at and fixed rather than described over email.

Who is behind it

MyHomeStudio is built and run by one person in Charlotte, North Carolina, working directly with the studios using it. That is the reason a feature request can turn into a release the same week, and the reason the page about where your data lives is written plainly.

More about this

Half an hour, and no slides.

Show me how you run your studio today and I will tell you honestly whether this helps. If it does not, I will say so.
